Dimly Lit Bathrooms

Why are bathrooms in some restaurants and clubs dimly lit? Really stupid...

Why can't I find any artichokes in New York City?

Main Street and Wall Street

In Greece and the United States, it seems that Wall (or Rich or "in crowd" whether government or enterprise) Street is prospering while Main Street is suffering or paying for them to prosper. What the bleep!

Queen Elizabeth

Why did the Queen wear all ochre for the Royal Wedding?

Mask of Evolved Hiding BS

Why is it that people pass fakeness to get along with people for no higher principle than mere survival (ordinary and average and animal...okay but find something else too) and pass it on as mature and evolved?

A Prepubescent Anorexic?

Why is a prepubescent blond teen in a woman's suit, with gnarly legs and a gaunt face staring at me for billboard after billboard at the W4th subway station in New York? I am not enrolled that this is the standard of beauty. Halloween with skulls or gaunt faces like this one is months ago. This must be a marketing gimmick to start getting costumes now.

Guarantee from University Tuition

Just what I thought months ago: We have guarantees for televisions, tires, etc., but none for school, while tuition climbs. On the cover of the Mutual Funds section of the Sunday New York Times this weekend, a lawyer wrote about a Boston College law school dropout who asked for his tuition back. Even lawyers are not guaranteed work, but they are guaranteed huge loans to pay back.

Makeup

Why is it that women, even beautiful ones, are usually expected to wear makeup, but men and children are not?
